A one-way overland run from Srinagar to Leh, crossing the Zojila pass and stopping in Kargil, so you arrive in Ladakh having actually seen the route rather than flying over it.

Day-wise itinerary
Early start from Srinagar, driving through Sonmarg and crossing the Zojila pass (3,528m) into Ladakh's rain shadow. Pass through Drass — one of the coldest inhabited places in India — before reaching Kargil by evening (roughly 8–9 hours total driving, weather and road conditions permitting).
Stay: Kargil
Drive on to Leh, stopping at Lamayuru monastery, one of the oldest in Ladakh, set among eroded 'moonland' cliffs. Continue past the Indus valley into Leh (around 6–7 hours driving with stops).
Stay: Leh
A gentle day to acclimatise — Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace and the main market, at a slow pace given the altitude. Drop-off in Leh for your onward travel or hotel for an extended Ladakh stay.

Things to know
- Gulmarg gondola tickets are bought on the spot and aren't something we can pre-book.
- Union cabs at Aru, Betaab Valley and Thajiwas are locally controlled and paid directly, not part of the package price.
- Roads can close on short notice after heavy snow — we rebuild the day plan around it rather than push through.
- Carry a valid photo ID at all times; it's checked at several points through the valley.
Cancellation policy
25% advance to confirm the booking, balance on arrival in Srinagar.
- • 15+ days before travel — full refund of the advance, less bank charges.
- • 7–14 days — 50% of the advance is retained.
- • Under 7 days — the advance is non-refundable.
- • Roads closed by snow, weather or administrative order: we reschedule at no extra cost, or refund whatever has not already been paid to hotels on your behalf.
