Our longest route — Kashmir first, then the overland crossing into Ladakh, with proper time in Leh, Nubra Valley and Pangong Tso rather than rushing between them.

Day-wise itinerary
Airport pickup and check-in. Evening shikara ride on Dal Lake.
Stay: Srinagar
A full day around the Mughal gardens — Nishat, Shalimar and Chashme Shahi — and the old town, resting before the long drive ahead.

Drive through Sonmarg, cross the Zojila pass and pass through Drass, reaching Kargil by evening (roughly 8–9 hours, road conditions permitting).

Continue to Leh, stopping at Lamayuru monastery and its moonland landscape en route (around 6–7 hours driving).

A deliberately light day — Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace and the main market, staying low-effort while your body adjusts to the altitude.

Cross Khardung La and descend into Nubra Valley. Visit the Hunder sand dunes and Diskit monastery with its large Buddha statue.

Drive via the Shyok river route to Pangong Tso, the high-altitude lake that changes colour through the day. Overnight by the lakeshore.

Return to Leh, retracing the route with time for photographs along the way.

A free day in Leh for shopping, an optional monastery visit (Hemis or Thiksey), or simply resting before departure.

Transfer to Leh airport for your onward flight.

Things to know
- Gulmarg gondola tickets are bought on the spot and aren't something we can pre-book.
- Union cabs at Aru, Betaab Valley and Thajiwas are locally controlled and paid directly, not part of the package price.
- Roads can close on short notice after heavy snow — we rebuild the day plan around it rather than push through.
- Carry a valid photo ID at all times; it's checked at several points through the valley.
Cancellation policy
25% advance to confirm the booking, balance on arrival in Srinagar.
- • 15+ days before travel — full refund of the advance, less bank charges.
- • 7–14 days — 50% of the advance is retained.
- • Under 7 days — the advance is non-refundable.
- • Roads closed by snow, weather or administrative order: we reschedule at no extra cost, or refund whatever has not already been paid to hotels on your behalf.
