Kashmir is the valley Rashid grew up in, and it's the core of everything Snowline runs. Most trips start in Srinagar and move out to Sonmarg, Gulmarg and Pahalgam over three to eight days, with a night on a houseboat on Dal Lake if you'd like one.
Because we're based here year-round, we know which roads are open in a given week, which hotels are actually warm in December, and which sightseeing spots are worth the union-cab ride and which aren't. That's the planning Snowline does before you arrive, not after.

Good to know
- Out-of-state prepaid SIM cards generally don't work in Jammu & Kashmir — carry a postpaid number or buy a local prepaid SIM with ID on arrival.
- Gulmarg's gondola runs in two stages; Phase 2 can close on short notice for weather, and tickets aren't something we can book in advance — you queue on the day.
- Union cabs at Aru, Betaab Valley, Chandanwari and Thajiwas are locally controlled and paid on the spot — they aren't part of the package price.
- Winter road closures happen with little notice after heavy snow; we rebuild the day plan around it rather than pushing through unsafe roads.
- Carry a valid photo ID at all times — it's checked at several points through the valley.
