Sonmarg sits at the last major stop before the Zojila pass, along the Sindh river. Rashid has driven this stretch of road more times than he can count.
The Thajiwas Glacier, a short walk or pony ride from the road, is the main draw, but the drive up through pine forest along the river is worth the trip on its own.
